Let Gaza Live. Protest at Lake Eola

On January 10th, 2009, I attended the protest to demonstrate against Israel's illegal occupation of Palestine.
This girl glanced at me for a brief moment and I captured it. Now I feel it is one of the most powerful photos I've taken.

National Geographic

Both of these shots were featured on National Geographic's website. Growing up, I dreamed of working for National Geographic, traveling the world and capturing our beautiful surroundings. When I saw my photos on the site I felt so proud! I love our world.

Rian

Rian is a friend of mine who has been trying to launch a modeling career and came to me for help. I love working with her because i can count on her to deliver any look. She's so versatile and always ready to transform into anything I'm looking for. We've had a lot of adventures, but here are some of her best shots:

We are all made of stars

I started photography the old school way- black and white film and a dark room. For me, there is truly no better feeling than being in my zone in a dark room, doing my thing. I've been working on a series for almost two years now, combining my two loves : photography and astronomy. These photos have gotten me into Best of College Photography 2010 and won me 2 local photography  competitions. It seems to be that the work that I am most emotionally attached to is the most successful. I couldn't post most of these because of censorship, but here are some shots :

Family Love

Chrissy and I went to the same gym together and she wanted to do a family shoot for a while. We finally got around to it, and what a day... the weather was not on our side. Regardless, we still had a successful shoot. I particularly love the shots of her and her husband, it is so wonderful when you can just sense the love in a couple through their energy.

Grandma turns 90!

The Garner Family was celebrating a wonderful event.. grandma turned 90! Jackie came to me for family portraits of the seven families that all came together to celebrate the big day. This shoot was a blast... and I have a new favorite location, Kraft Azalea Gardens. Take a look at some of the great shots:

I love my culture. Being indian, weddings are extravagant, extremely decadent, and effortlessly beautiful. In our culture we have multiple ceremonies before the wedding. This includes an engagement ceremony, which is somewhat like a wedding itself. Before the wedding, we have events like the  mehndi/henna party, bridal shower, special nights for prayers, and many many more, where everyone gets dolled up in lavish sari's and outfits.I have done countless amounts of these ceremonies, but here are a few of my favorites:

and yes, that is my gorgeous sister in green and blue :).
